Comprised of “Lefty” Joe Panizzo, Ben Schultz, and Matt Lane, Machine Politics is Chicago Hardcourt’s most accomplished team, with several Jenny Cup titles (Midwest Championship) and numerous podium finishes, including second place in the 2010 World Championships.
Joe Panizzo – Arguably one the the most talented players in hardcourt. Equipped with a wicked southpaw rocket shot and great court sense, his ability to change the course of a match has been seen time and again.
Ben Schultz – Tough on the boards, fast and focused on creating the play, Ben has been involved in Chicago Hardcourt since the beginning. He has also been instrumental in creating North American Hardcourt (NAH), hardcourt bike polo’s first organizing body.
Matt Lane – The last piece of the puzzle – the dark end – added in fall of 2008. His relentless and fierce playing style has helped Machine Politics rise to its current position as one of the world’s top teams.
